Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to add another striker before the close of the January transfer window.

"We need more goalscorers, more goals, someone who wants to break their nose or toe to score. We need more goals, if we get Bruno over the line we've got a boy who will score and create," said Solskjaer after signing Fernandes.

Fernandes could make his Manchester United debut this Saturday against Wolves due to Nemanja Matic's suspension. 

Giuseppi Rossi has joined Real Salt Lake's training camp in Phoenix, according to Sam Stejskal of The Athletic.

The two sides are reportedly negotiating a contract.

The 33-year-old Rossi has been out of a contract since leaving Genoa in the 2017-18 season.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in a move for Dries Mertens.

Frank Lampard is looking to upgrade his attacking options and create competition for Tammy Abraham.

The 32-year-old attacker is out of contract at the end of this season. 

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Bruno Fernandes from Sporting CP on a transfer that could cost up to €80 million ($88 million).

The deal includes an initial €55 million payment with a further €25 million in variables. Of those, €5 million were related to the player's appearances, another €5 million subject to United's achievements and a further €15 million based on individual awards.

"Manchester United are delighted to announce it has reached agreement with Sporting Clube de Portugal for the transfer of Bruno Fernandes," a United statement read. "The deal is subject to a medical and the agreement of personal terms."

Barcelona were close to signing Fernandes at one point, but United made a breakthrough in negotiations on Tuesday. 

Atletico Madrid is close to agreement with Paris Saint-Germain on the purchase of Edinson Cavani.

The deal will be worth €15 million plus €3 million in bonuses.

Cavani has already agreed to personal terms with Atleti.

Chelsea plan on targeting Ben Chilwell and Hakim Ziyech to upgrade their squad this summer. 

Frank Lampard has been given the freedom to rebuild the squad this summer.

Chelsea will also no longer pursue a potential move for Dries Mertens this winter. 

Barcelona have been linked with a surprise move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes has previously been linked with Manchester United, though discussions stalled over a transfer fee.

Barcelona would reportedly sign Fernandes, and loan the player to Valencia in exchange for Rodrigo.

Roma are close to buying Carles Perez from Barcelona for just over $14 million.

Perez is reportedly set to travel to Italy on Tuesday to seal the move.

Perez would be the third player to move away from Barcelona during the winter window.

Barcelona have yet to sign any replacements. 

Borussia Dortmund are close to signing Emre Can.

Can has fallen out of favor at Juventus since moving on a free transfer from Liverpool two seasons ago.

Juventus are reportedly looking for $25 million for Can. 

Arsenal have failed to reach a deal with Flamengo for Pablo Mari.

The 26-year-old underwent a medical before the deal collapsed.

Flamengo was reportedly opposed to Arsenal's terms for a Mari transfer.
